The roadrunner everyone's been asking for. Our Southwest Roadrunner Throw features one roadrunner against a full desert landscape—mesas, mountains, desert floor, and piñon bushes—in vibrant green, chocolate brown, coral, periwinkle, tan, and taupe. And yes, there's a snake border winding around the edges. We'll explain.

We wanted to design something iconic (the roadrunner is quintessentially Southwest) while staying true to our style—asymmetrical composition, bold color, layered design. The roadrunner is the star, but the coral snake-inspired border? That's the scene-stealer. It winds through and creates the transition from landscape to pattern, blurring where the subject ends and the border begins. We also used ocotillo to play with the foreground, bringing it into the border itself.

Precision-knitted from 2-ply combed and recycled cotton by artisans in New York. This throw gets softer with every wash and is built to last. The chocolate brown and taupe work beautifully with warm wood tones, while the vibrant green, coral, and periwinkle bring energy without overwhelming a space. It's designed to have a definite orientation—top and bottom, focal point, story. Like a landscape painting you can use.

We're making this throw in a small batch of 14—first edition. We're treating our throws more like we treat our art prints: intentional editions rather than permanent inventory. It's how we work as artists. We'd rather keep designing and exploring new ideas.

What Makes This Throw Different:

  • Designed Like a Landscape Painting: One roadrunner, full desert scene with mesas and mountains—asymmetrical composition with definite orientation, not a repeating pattern
  • First Edition: Small batch of 14 pieces. We're treating this as an edition, which gives us the freedom to keep creating new designs
  • Unexpected Details: Coral snake-inspired border that transitions the landscape into pattern—plus ocotillo blurring the lines between subject and edge
  • Works in Real Spaces: Modern, tailored interiors or eclectic collected homes—anywhere with personality and a keen sense of color
  • Made in NYC: Small-batch production with a zero-waste facility, using 2-ply combed and recycled cotton

Why We Made This

We're sister artists who happen to run a home goods company. People have been asking us for roadrunners for years, and we finally figured out how to do it our way—bold, playful, with a snake border we didn't see coming.

This throw is part of our shift toward treating designs as editions instead of permanent inventory. It gives us the space to keep designing and exploring without being tied to maintaining stock on every design we've ever made.

If your home has a story to tell—collected pieces, intentional color, personality—this throw will layer in beautifully. Drape it over a leather chair, fold it at the end of a bed, style it on a neutral sofa. It's made to be used, not just displayed.

First edition of 14. Made in NYC.
